It’s going alright. With bits and pieces of work, we’re getting there. Mom is a great help with paperhanging during the week, when Sister and I are at work and uni. Unfortunately, not all the walls are friendly to us. In my bed room, the wall paper still has air bubbles
But we just buy new wall paper and try to keep seeing it from the good side!
Monday, 6.30 pm – 9 pm
Visit to Praxis in Huizen to buy some more and nicer wallpaper. I think we have five different types now. Two different whites in the living room, one of those also in the hallway and bed rooms, and two different grey/black ones for one wall in each of our bed rooms. We returned one white type of wallpaper because of my annoying bed room wall.
Tuesday, 6.30 pm – 9 pm
Trying to change our address in several organizations and companies, which cost more time than expected. Still not succeeded completely…
Wednesday, 12 pm – 6 pm
More sanding and painting… On the one hand, we seem to book progress, but on the other hand, every time I’m going home after several hours of working, I still have the feeling I accomplished little. Luckily, we still have three weeks, more or less.
Thursday, 6.30 pm – 7.30 pm
It’s time to pick out carpet. We decided on grey in the living room and on the stairs, red in the bed rooms, some cheap sandy yellow on the attic and white and black squared stuff in the hallway and kitchen. I get a heart attack when I hear the price. Really, it’s a FORTUNE. Why exactly aren’t we moving to a small apartment?!
Friday, 6.30 pm – 8.30 pm
Another visit to Gamma. Because we need more wall paper… which we can still get with a 20% discount today. And also because we have a 10% discount coupon on everything, this evening only. So besides some stuff we really need, we also get ten flower pots for sixteen euros. Because in a real house, real plants are needed, of course.
